Andrea Lederle ASSOCIATE PARTNER

Andrea’s wine journey began just out of college when she fulfilled her dream to live, work and study in Paris, France. While living with a French family she became inspired by their celebration of food and wine in everyday life. Upon returning to the US, she relocated from her hometown of Boulder, Colorado to San Francisco in order to speak French and eventually followed that path to the wine industry.

Her first wine job was working for French Wine Importer Martine Saunier as a bilingual sales assistant. Working with Martine introduced her to the business side of wine and also to the world of selling French wine. After working for Martine, Andrea branched out into the world of sales and spent many formative years selling wine to premium accounts in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. This meant daily connections with wine buyers and years of wine education through tasting group membership, wine classes and firsthand experience selling diverse portfolios of wine.

Eventually the scenic and bucolic Anderson Valley in Mendocino came into play in Andrea’s career when she procured a position as National Sales Manager for Milla Handley at Handley Cellars. For fifteen plus years Andrea traveled the US and educated distributors, the wine trade and the public about the attributes of cool climate winegrowing in the Anderson Valley and Handley Cellars.

After many years as a road warrior, Andrea moved to Sonoma County to marry a viticulturist and began the leg of her wine journey that focused on West Sonoma County. She lived on a 2-acre vineyard that they planted to pinot noir and then created a new brand with her former husband. This rounded out her experience in brand development: package design, label creation and pricing. She set up and managed national distributors and traveled the US to introduce and launch the new brand. She established and managed social media marketing channels on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Since that time, Andrea has used her skills to help other small wineries define and achieve their sales and marketing goals. She takes the sum of her experience in sales, hospitality, trade relations, distributor work and social media marketing and uses it to guide her clients to their best path for success.
